TEAM MANAGEMENT
Roles & Permissions
Understand who can do what in Sevoria, so you can give each team member the right level of access.
Not everyone on your team needs access to everything. Sevoria lets you control what each person can see and do by assigning them a role.
The three roles
| Role | Who it's for |
|---|---|
| Owner | You — the business owner. Full access to everything. |
| Manager | Senior staff. Can handle all day-to-day operations. |
| Receptionist | Front desk staff. Focused on bookings and guests. |
What each role can do
Here's a clear breakdown:
| Feature | Owner | Manager | Receptionist |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dashboard overview | ✅ | ✅ | ❌ |
| Manage rooms & categories | ✅ | ✅ | View only |
| Room Manager | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Front Desk (bookings) | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Calendar | ✅ | ✅ | ✅ |
| Customers | ✅ | ✅ | View & create |
| Add/remove staff | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ |
| Settings | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ |
| Billing & subscription | ✅ | ❌ | ❌ |
How it works in practice
- The sidebar adapts — Each person only sees the pages they have access to. A Receptionist won't see Settings or Dashboard links at all.
- Buttons are hidden too — Even on shared pages, buttons like "Add Category" won't show up if your role doesn't allow it.
So there's no risk of someone accidentally accessing something they shouldn't.
Choosing the right role
- Receptionist is perfect for front desk staff who just need to handle check-ins, bookings, and guests.
- Manager works well for senior team members who oversee daily operations but don't need to touch settings or billing.
- Owner is for you — the person making business decisions and managing the team.
[!TIP] Start with Receptionist for new hires. You can always upgrade them to Manager later if they need more access.
[!CAUTION] There can only be one Owner per business. If you need to transfer ownership, please contact support.
