Offline Mode & Sync

Keep working even when your internet goes down. Sevoria saves bookings locally and syncs them when you're back online.

Internet connections aren't always reliable, especially in busy hotels. Sevoria has you covered — if your connection drops, you can keep creating bookings. They'll be saved on your device and uploaded automatically once you're back online.

What happens when you go offline

When your internet drops, you'll see a small notification:

⚠️ "You are now offline. Changes will be saved locally."

Don't panic. You can still do your most important job: create bookings.

Creating bookings without internet

The process is the same as usual:

  1. Open New Booking from the Front Desk.
  2. Pick a guest, room, and dates.
  3. Click "Create Booking".

The booking gets saved right on your computer (not on the server) and marked as "Pending Sync". Sevoria also checks locally for conflicts — if you've already saved an offline booking for the same room and dates, it'll let you know.

What happens when you come back online

As soon as your internet returns, Sevoria jumps into action:

  1. You'll see: ✅ "Back online. Syncing data..."
  2. Each saved booking gets sent to the server one by one.
  3. Successfully synced bookings are removed from your local queue.
  4. You'll get a notification telling you how many bookings were synced.
  5. The page refreshes to show everything up to date.

What if something goes wrong?

Sometimes an offline booking can't be synced — for example, if another staff member booked the same room while you were both offline. In those cases:

StatusWhat it means
PendingWaiting to sync when you get internet back.
SyncingCurrently being uploaded.
FailedCouldn't sync — usually because the room was already booked by someone else.

If a booking fails, you'll be notified so you can sort it out manually.

Good to know

  • Offline mode works for bookings only — You'll need internet to edit categories, manage settings, or update customer details.
  • Sync happens automatically — You don't need to click anything. Just reconnect and let it do its thing.
  • Conflicts are rare — But they can happen if multiple people work offline at the same time. Keep an eye out for failed syncs after reconnecting.

[!IMPORTANT] When working offline, room availability is based on the last data your browser loaded. So if possible, try to create offline bookings only when you really need to, and sync as soon as you can.
